Years ago, I was lucky enough to meet the women of the Sisters Network of Central Virginia. I walked with them. I listened to their stories. I knocked on doors to help them educate their neighbors. This group, largely African American, are dedicated to raising awareness of the devastating impact breast cancer has on their communities. It has long been known that there is a racial disparity in cancer outcomes. These ladies taught me that there wasn’t time for bureaucratic change. They became the change. They took on the public health responsibility.
Now as a member of the Massey Advisory Board, I support their effort to create a healthier, equitable community. When you make a donation towards my fundraising goal, you join our team effort to fun health equity advancements.
As always, thank you friends for always supporting me in my effort to eradicate Breast Cancer.
Michelle, love your voice, your spirit and your dedication... so grateful for your friendship! Keep on keeping on.....
